Dr. Abdelwahab is an international development expert with 30 years of experience  in International Development, Sustainable Finance, Public Private Partnership, and Infrastructure Advisory. Dr. Abdelwahab, skilled in international diplomacy, has worked with public and private stakeholders to advocate for alignment of development finance with the global agenda on SDGs and Climate Change through economic policy, infrastructure, and global partnerships. He is the former Director-General of Country Programs at the Islamic Development Bank where he led formulation and execution of country assistance strategies in the Bank’s 57 countries in Asia, Africa, MENA, Europe and Latin America. He had direct leadership and accountability for the Bank’s portfolio of development projects (US$25 billion) which included appraisal and implementation of complex projects in transport, energy, water, sanitation, education, health and agriculture.
